Golden Mask in Estonia 2018

Festival Golden Mask in Estonia offers an entirely unique opportunity for the audience each year to get acquainted with the best Russian productions of recent years in their most diverse forms. These forms are drama or ballet, but also a puppetry.

The festival is an anticipated event that attracts a large number of audience, theatre professionals and is widely reflected in the media.

In 2018 the festival Golden Mask plans to bring five productions to Estonia and there will be ten performances in total.

· The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. Based on the works of the well-known American neuropsychologist and writer Oliver Sacks, Mayakovsky Theatre.

· Oedipus Rex. A collaboration of Theater Vakhtangov and National Theatre of Greece (Athens). Director: laureate of the Golden Mask Award Rimas Tuminas.

· The Wizard of Oz. Based on Lyman Frank Bauman's fairytale. Theatre-studio Small Drama Theatre (St. Petersburg).

· Circus. Musical based on A. Aleksandrov's legendary movie motifs. Director Maksim
Didenko.

· Without a Dowry. Aleksandr Ostrovski. Dmitry Krymov Lab and producer Leonid Roberman (Moscow).
Oct 17 SALME CULTURE CENTRE

There is a simultaneous translation into Estonian on all performances and off-programme events that can be listened to with headphones, in some cases the subtitles are used.
